To see if they still work, put a voltmeter pin into both holes and see if they read 12+ volts. The plugs might be corroded and non functional, but the wiring behind them might not be. be careful not to short out the (usually) red and black wires behind them as that may trip a circuit breaker or blow a fuse that may shut off something else in the boat.
