At the begining of the season I make sure everything closes cause I leave everything open all the time, [except fuel lines]. For the winter, if I leave something disconnected I tie a red tag on it or tie a rag around throttles. With multiple items one needs a check list[just don't lose the list] Like in flying check lists are a must, especially as I get older.
