You WILL forget at some point or another unless you do a pilots check list every time you start your engines, and most of us don't. Usually, you leave something in the closed position because you've been interrupted or distracted by something. In 30+ years of B-31 ownership I've done it and overheated one engine (thank God for Murphy alarm gauges) and had an engine shut off from fuel starvation after filter changes. If WE sometimes forget, imagine what the Bubble-Boat guys will do. You can hardly get them to turn on blowers on their gassers before they start up, much less deal with a diesel vapor lock or overheat situation. Bet the marinas would love it if shutting off all valves when we leave were the rule. They'd be real busy on weekends. Walter
