Bill, in my view it's a good place for batteries, but a bad place for a charger. When I became the Steward of AJ years ago there was an old Constavolt charger mounted in the port engine box on the cabin bulkhead, and it was just eaten up. The prior owner had mounted a cheap charger at the aft end of the sliding glass doors under the counter in the head, and it crapped out soon. I put a good solid state auto charger in the same place under the head counter and it has worked fine for years. The old Constavolt is still where it was, still going ashes to ashes, dust to dust, but I've been too lazy to rip it and its dozen wires out.

Charger needs to be inside.
