TiG'ing pre-anodized aluminum is more art than science. DO NOT max out your machine. You blow holes in your material and if you think it looks shitty now, wait till you start that. Depending on the machine, you can easily weld pre-anod sch. 40 stock at 110-120 if you use a mixed gas and set your machine for medium clean, medium penetration. I use ALumashield from AirGas. It's a mix of argon and helium that allows better penetration at lower heat. High heat witll screw you up and anneal your base metal, making it weakerr nad more prone to cracking. Yes, your welds will look "dirty" when you weld pre-anod material, but if you wire wheel them, then paint them with Rustoleum Bright Silver, you'll never know they crap was there...
