Figuring out how you will use the boat (and budget, time willing to spend on maintainance, …) is key.

I have a 38B, and use it like a 50footer. Local offshore fishing (San Diego) is typically 2-3 day trips. Have spent 1 –2 weeks on board with 4 adults… and made 1000km passages to Cabo San Lucas from San Diego.

Now, I am thinking of travellig to Costa Rica and Panama...
