Well, your comments deeply offend me. After all, there is a huge amount of effort that goes into devising the rules for the UVI. I stay up nights worrying that everyone will be treated fairly. You don't know how it hurt me to disqualify Linda and the entire Reel Releif crew for catching that undersize blue marlin last year, not to mention we don't have a Ladie's Division. In your case, The Hyena left the dock before legal fishing hours, 11 a.m. I mean, just think about it - I have to make these decisions on my own, since the Rules Committee is set by law (for you Weasel Worders, its 31 U.V.I. 1892(b)(6)(E) and I have to shoulder the laboring oar.
Anyway, hope you understand how difficult it is to run a tight-ship tournament like the UVI. The fact that AJ has won the first four in a row does not mean The Hyena is closed out this year in UVI 5. If you do in fact make the 300 nm cut across the Gulf to get there, I am considering a points bonus in the final standings. Tell you what - if she shows up with "The Hyena" painted (big) on her transom, I'll appoint you to the Rules Committee along with me & Snow.
