Boat ID tag

Guys,

I power washed the cockpit hull and stringers in perparation for awlgrip coating.

While power washing the hull a glassed in paper tag appeared near the keel at the transom. It read:

Bertram Yachts
Whitacker Corp.
Hull 315 820

Does anyyone know what the 315 means? I believe but am not sure, that 820 is the hull number.

Also, I have never heard of this tag before. Is it common to all 31's? If so, news to me.
