Captain's License

I finally completed my paperwork and submitted it along with a check. I was electronically fingerprinted too. This all took place on 1-25-05.
At the time the USCG employees said it would take from 8-10 weeks for the paperwork to be examined and if approved a license issued. (I wish I had as much trouble getting my first marriage license).
Since then I have not heard anything. Has anyone had a similar experience with an application for a first time license recently?
