Just leave it on. Da Judge came up with the 50/50 lacquer thinner potion, since for large areas the thinner flashes off and does not leave a sticky film, but enough of the CX to protect the metal. For specific areas of heavy corrosion or friction, use it straight and leave it on. It is so sneaky it will actually get under rust and lift it off in a few days. The penetrating ability of CX is at least 10 times that of any penetrating oil, and its lubrication ability is 100 times that of WD 40.
