Transom Replacement in B20

I think I know what the answer is, but want to make sure.

Should I be using epoxy or poly resin for a complete transom rebuild.

Original outer skin is present and ground clean. Will replaced core material and inner skin of glass.

Both fiberglass guys that I received quotes from stated they use poly resin if the boat was made with poly resins, vinlyester with vinylester, etc.

One made a pretty good argument that although epoxy has a far superior secondary bond, the boat is full of poly secondary bonds. How 'fresh' does a polyester layup have to be to have a 'satisfactory bond? 1 day, 1 wk, 1 month, etc.?

Thanks,

Ian.
