I think the secret to working[structurally] on the "flexible flyers", as Dave Rigley, service manager of the Canyon Club, calls them(and not in any sense to be confused with Ocean Yachts], is to make sure the indistructable hull is supported well out of the water when worked on, level side to side etc and easier to work on.
As UV said it has no effect on strength, but if you are putting enough structure in it out of the water and if it isn't relatively straight It's just possible when put back in the water some of the structure will be in stress while the boat is at rest and under a pounding the hull will not fail but the install structure might. To me they are like an airplane, if you bolt everything together tightly, as the hull flexs at speed over the water something will give and it will not be the hull. Example: many rear cabin bulkheads are torn loose at the top on 31's cause they can't match the flex/movement of the bridge.
