Neat ice box

Well, got my Igloo Kool Mate 24 Plus (not sure what the Plus is all about) today that I got new in the box on ebay for 36 bucks, plus 13 shipping. It is a little Igloo cooler, guess a 24 qt. with a refrigeration unit on top, thermo-electric with the solid state cool plate. Has a fan to blow air over the cool plate and down into the box and the hot air out. I hooked it up to a battery charger (don't have the 5 amp. 120v adapter yet, but any 12v source will do) and the little sucker COOLS guys, really cools. Took the infrared heat gun to it from the get-go, put a coke in it out of the frig that shot about 50 degrees. Inside shot 73 on start up. In a few minutes the intake air showed 73 and the output exhaust air showed 95, so something is going on in there. Cold air output on the inside got to 45 in just a little while. Coke can is down to 42 now, so the thing works. Great little idea for keeping the boudin rouge and lunch meat cold without getting soggy in an ice chest.

It works, and for those of you like me that don't have a frig. on board, a great product. Plus you can take it in the car, in a hotel room, etc. and it gets COLD.
