New potion

Snow picked up some stuff for me at Wal Mart called Goof Off that is supposed to be the ultimate potion to clean up dried sealers, adhesives, gum, etc. I used some this weekend to clean up AJ's Glasstech deck and it works wonders.

I had a lot of pine tar stains on the non-skid that my usual stuff (denatured alcohol, acetone, etc) would not cut, but this stuff got it using a stiff nylon brush. Found on some of the more stubborn areas that putting a paper towel with Goof Off on it over the spot for about 15 minutes did the trick. The two hatches in the companionway between the engines were a mess, so removed them to the picnic table in the shade and worked them over with Goof Off and some Castrol Super Clean after that. Look like new.

Did a bunch of little piddle stuff on AJ enjoying the warm coonass sun, like put Loc-tite on the flat head bolts that hold the fairing between the engine box and gunnal together, re-taping the Soundown edges using mylar tape and 3M spray adhesive. Cooked oyster saute' for the neighbors last night and drank some of Chirs Wilson's great Cape wines. Chris, where are you? Need more.

Shot a lot of CX around too. Camp neighbor's party barge with a 135 Merc i/o would not shift right so shot that assembly inside the transom where are the cables go with CX and it fixed the problem instantly. My cell phone blanked out and I doused it with CX and it works fine again.

AJ is looking too good to mess up with fish blood during the UVI. Buckets and brushes will be issued to all hands.
