Fiberglass layup question

I am in process of a restoration on a B20 Bahia Mar.

I have completed stripped the boat down to hull, deck, windshield (cockpit sole still intact).

In the 'cabin' I have removed the old headliner and scraped away the old adhesive and have sanded the plywood core clean with 40 grit.

My question is: There is no 'inner' skin of fiberglass on the plywood. This is the case in the following three areas:

1. Rear deck
2. Front deck
3. Under the 'dash' (horizontal suface aft of the windshield)

Should I have this glassed in?

I think this would provide a more structure, but would be concerned that any future moisture intrusion would be trapped and cause the wood to rot. I am pleased to roport that although there are some minor signs of prior moisture there is no rot that I have seen.

Your thoughts?

Ian.
