Still no sea trail but happy with service

One of the owners of Rotary Power Marine flew in this weekend (My freq. flier miles) to help me with the fuel injection systems this weekend One engine was hard starting when cold and the other would cut off if you reved it up and came back down too idle fast. After lots of watching and googling at the tools, the STB engine appears to be 100%, but the port (hard starting) still had a miss to it. He ran a compression test and determined that one of the rotor seals was not doing it's job. After the decision was made, RPMC had the engine out within two hours, cancelled his return flight and rented a truck to take it back to NY this morning. With any luck, he should be helping me put the engine back in THIS Friday.

As dissapointed as I was to have a problem with a new engine, so far I am very happy with RPMC's effor to make things right. While he was here, he also helped me calibrate and verify my digital tachs and flow scan while the laptop was connected to the ECU. He also certified my installation for warranty.

Even more impressive is that I never turned a wrench while he was here. He also added a new fuel rail with an schrader valve to allow for safe and easy air bleeding or the need to check fuel pressure. So far, RPMC has delivered everthing I have asked.

While talking, it turns out that Jon worked for both John Deer and Cummins in their Diesel engine depts. as an engineer before he started RPMC.
