Capt. Pat or Anyone Help!

I am trying to add a second water tank directly in front of my stock (1970 fb) tank. I would like to connect the to tanks via a hose at the bottom of each and simply allow them to equalize. Can I simply cut a hole in my stock tank and add a hose fitting? If so, what wold be the best method for sealing the new fitting in the stock fiberglass tank? THANKS MUCH!!
