Anybody with any warrantee left should not attempt.
Been involved in a few cases where modifications not approved by factory, voided the warrantee.
One was a loss that totaled 60k that really had nothing to do with the modification, but the lawsuit was lost by the plaintiff against the manufacturer.
I had declined doing the modifications, and was dragged into it as a witness.
