Phil,

To the best of my knowlwdge above 270 HP 6" exhaust is required.

As far as a muffler is concerend there are other alternatives. They do make cylinder ones. You may also want to consider what I do on mine . I don't use mufflers. The exhaust is about 70% under water. Since I just idle out of here my neighbors don't know the difference. It's pretty quiet and surprised me when I bought the boat 5 years ago. So you do have choices. But I have Volvo 250's and not Cummins so noise wise a little difference. Dave K
