prop rotations

Pulled off the props to send out to be reconditioned, while there out I'll put on the spares. Now the dumb questions,(1) I didn't pay attention to the rotations on the shafts, does the starboard turn clockwise and the port counter clockwise? (2)There is about 1/16 of an inch of play on the cutlass bearings, should I replace them now or is that exceptable? (3)The last question is what should I put on the threads when I tighten down the nuts, It looked like it had pipe dope before? The boats on the lift at home so it's not a big deal to change the bearings later if they still have service, but if its time to change, I'll get on it.

Thanks Scott D.
