In Response To: Adhesive Question (JohnV8r)

I can tell you one thing from my experience with the stuff on kitchen cabinets & countertops: make sure you line up the laminate right the first time before it touches the substrate your mounting it to, because once it sticks even a little, if you screwed up it ain't coming back off in one piece, and is probably bringing with it a piece of what you stuck it to.

If I remember it right (been awhile), you paint both surfaces and wait about 10 minutes, until both are tacky enough to touch without getting it on your fingers. But it'll surprise you when you put them together, how hard the contact cement grabs.

Best done with 2 or more sets of hands for large pieces of laminate. Or leave the laminate on the bench upsidedown and stick the rigid board to it.
