Adhesive Question

I purchased a 4x8 sheet of PVC Foam Board per Dave Diamond's suggestion that I look at Capt Patrick's building tip section for side panel construction materials. I also got a 4x8 sheet of formica to mount on the PVC Foam Board.
My question now relates to what adhesive to use to bond the Formica to the PVC Foam Board. The plastics people that I got the PVC Foam Board from suggested I use a neoprene rubber contact cement rather than epoxy. Their big motivation was the difference in the cost. $7 for the contact cement versus the relative expense of West System epoxy. I bought the contact cement they recommended (DAP Weldwood Contact Cement - Neoprene rubber formula).
Anyone have any comments on this stuff before I use it? Any reason why I should fear using it?
It does say on the label that it is resitant to water and household cleaning products.
Thanks in advance.
