Jeez. Rawleigh, give us a break. The above thesis was like WOW!

But I must tell you what I went thru in Feb 2004. I was going to sand blast the paint off the bottom, barrier coat and re-paint. The yard manager told me it was too late in the yr to do this . The boat gets launched end of March( Long Island,N.Y.) The boat has to dry out before you do the barrier coat or you'll seal the water in. So I waited until Oct 2004 and hauled the boat, sand blasted and let it dry out until just a week ago,did the barrier coat and repainted with Micron CSC, ablative paint. Even at $160 a gallon, in the long run it's cheaper 'cause there is no built up. No sanding, scraping etc and the bottom is always smooth. I use to put the Micron on over the old paint that was uneven and chipped in places. I didn't want and more build-up. So this year I bit the bullet and took it all off. Should gain a knot or two.
