I pay for 31' since I have a 30 ft slip, 30' slip + 1'. My buddy is right next to me and has a 28' boat yet he pays for a 30' slip.

The guy behind us has the same 30' slip and has a 18' boat, now he' soughta screwed.

On the other hand the marina on the other side of the harbor, they just ripped out all there docks and have a 40' minimum. Think they charge 175.00/ft too plus winter storage.

Did I mention, ALL the marinas in my harbor have waiting lists. I always know when that happens as the pricing goes up in larger increments, yet the services,what little is offered goes down.

Hell its a summer house, a vacation spot, your little hideaway. Pay the money and get on with life, your screwed ya got a boat, at least you can see that money. $160/gal for bottom paint and they recommend a minimum of 2-3 gallons, now thats another story. At that price it should apply itself and have little people come out and wipe the slime and barnicles that STILL grow on the bottom.

Its boating, put it on the plastic, thats not real money anyway.
