Paul,

I won't presume to second guess your guys since they have the struts in front of them and I don't... All I can say is that we have converted at least 8 pairs of 1 7/8" I.D. struts to 2" I.D., for use with the thin wall 1 1/2" I.D. bearings, with zero problems.

Quite a few of the guys here have had this done also, & the only two problems that arose were struts that were machined by shops that didn't have a clue what they were doing and screwed up the bores.

Call Danny at High Tide Marine, (305-743-0269), and get a price on his aftermarket struts, w/bearings, from him.
