steering linkage

Going back together with cockpit after repairing or replacing everything but the actual hull and have noticed that one end on the 3/4" stainless linkage rod (the part that has a 3/4" female thread in it and accepts the ball that is attached to the arm that comes off of the rudder shaft) is regular steel while the other end is bronze. Checked out a couple of marine dealers with no luck. Does anyone the correct nomenclature for this item and where to buy? Thanks
