One way which has been reliable and noise free is to bring all the outputs to one central location using wires which are shielded (yes it makes a difference-ever loose fm or vhf reception when you turn the gps on?)
Using a small weather proof junction box then solder/heat shrink all the connections. This will allow clean "information" to your units and one stop shopping for trouble shooting (should problems occur in the future you only have units and junction box to check- not ever single connection in the daisy chain) along with instant access for jumping in that new piece of electronics we ultimately just had to get.

For what its worth
