Capt. Pat...Buddy Boy headliner questions *PIC*

Capt. Patrick-

What materials did you use for the V berth sides on Buddy Boy? Also, what about the headliner? The new modern headliners look like they are stretched leatherette/vinyl material. Any suggestions for not using the usual 1/4" plywood and covering the wood?

Here's a pic of a headliner I am referring to, obviously this boat is only slightly bigger than a 31.
