Update on my screwup

Some have wondered how it went.

Well now that the boat show is over, and I can remove the crap coated boots, I remounted brackets to my original specs and wala, it was within 1/4" of alignment.

I also managed to get rid of the Marine Power diesel taking up space in the shop. Nobody wanted it even for a grand.
I had the owner donate it to Chapman School and take the tax write off.
He's able to get 10 times what the engine would have bought him in cash.

All in all a very good day.

I'm happier than Elton John with a wheelbarrow full of butt holes.....................
