The best thing about the 26 is that you can put it on a trailer and repowering is super simple with lots of options. Leave it in the water and raise the engines, haul it out yourself and take it home to work on it over the winter. I'd rather have outboards then stern drives. I have some factory information from Merc doing outboard tests on my web site.
