One of the reasons I paid extra for a B28 w/ deisels is because I think it is pretty much fully depreciated. I also think it will remain desirable. If I'm a concientious steward of the vessel and have to sell it in 5 years time, I'm liable to get the lion's share of my money back. I don't think you can say that about an '83 Sea Ray (for instance).

The Blackfin is a great looking boat with a solid reputation, so if the $10K is a tough nut, it's a good option. Sorry I can't offer a more technical response.
