Al, my bahia mar has a platform about 12" above the deck to stand on at the helm...visablility is excellent. I chose this model because i liked the one level and didn't need the interior...but i still prefer the look of the flybridge...its what everyone thinks of when you say bertram 31. The bahia mar initially costs less and will always be worth less than the flybridge. Mine will eventually need to be repowered and at that time will come a tough decision...I paid 33K plus a repower of around 50-60K gets the boat into the 80-90K range which might be a tough resell vs. the flybridge. Where are you looking...if its the Kahuna in Maryland I looked at her before.
