In Response To: Aux Fuel Tank in Salon, Size? (Capt. Dave Kosh)

Something like Dr.'s I have [2] monel tanks up forward, about 30 gals. each[usable] and a Holley fuel pump to transfer either, to the main. They were from days with the 440's, which weren't too bad on gas. When I installed diesels I kept the tanks and if desired, along with my 165 gal main can go Cape May direct Block Island or C.M. direct to Oregan Inlet, and like Dr. says thats enough range[running] for me. One tank is located between the sink and the gunnel the other is on the other side of the cabin hidden between the "L" shaped dinett and the gunnel. This also allows me to balance the boat ride by shifting the fuel load. Just some things to think about.
