Fran,
How about some more information on what you are looking for in a B26?

Just like the 25's and 31's, there are different configurations that were available from the factory.

From 75 thru 77 they had the Moppie, fly bridge and sport fish models. These were stern drives and sell for between 15 and 25K for models that are still in original and serviceable condition.

From about 80 thru 83, they made the B26 in an inboard configuration with motor boxes like the 31 and also made the B26-II which had outboards. I don't know what they sell for, I don't see many of them. I could be a little off on the years and models, but this is what I remember from the research I did.

For any of the above that have been redone and repowered, I've seen the price as high as 70K. There are several B26's in charter service. It's been said that the B26 is demensionally the little sister of the B28 with the same construction methods and quality.

I'd strongly suggest that you get a survey done by a surveyor that you choose. I paid 10K for mine knowing that it needed new wood in the transom and a complete repower along with electronics and house wiring. It also has wood ecapsulated stringers (mine were fine) It surveyed last year for about 60K, even with the new rotary engines.

Count down to first splash: Maybe next month?
