In Response To: Rising fuel costs (bruce)

I think you will see a little decrese in the guys that fish long range but not in the weekend crew or the smaller boats at least not in this area ( Stuart, Fl.). Average day trip on a smaller boat about 30-50 gal x 2.80 gal= approx $140.00 plus $60.00 food and beer(ooops I mean uh soda) so about $200.00 split up with 3-4 people is still a cheap fishing outiing. If your fish with your wife and kids and cant split it up it's still probaly thge best $200.00 your going to spend. I just took my family (wife and 3 kids to Disney for 2 days and it was close to $2000.00. I think the cost of boating and on time on the water is still pretty cheap compared to `any other kind of playing around. Lets face it unless you fish for a living we are all just out there to play and see if anything wants to pull a line in the other way.
