Guys,

It is never a bad thing to be budget concious. But of all things not to chintz out on, a repower for your boat is absolutely one of them.

Not saying you are doing that. Please do not misinterpret. But if you are buying used engines, you need to know the source, and the reason they are being sold.

Your installer is your best friend. If you are honestly capable of doing it complete by yourself, you better like yourself too.

Sometimes the risk inherent in potential savings is worth it. Sometimes new engines are the right thing. Individual choice.

But do it right, and don't cut corners to save money. That is akin to shooting yourself in the foot, and then doing it again to the other one right afterwards.
