You can. Heat the strut with a propane torch then drive it out forward up the shaft towards the bottom (don't forget to take the set screws out) with the appropriate size pipe driver. Then cut it off the shaft lenghtwise wide a side grinder and 4" wheel. To install the new one, put the bearing in a bucket of ice water with some salt to cool it down, heat the strut again and tap it into place with the same pipe you drove the old one out with.

I've done it, and the heating and super cooling with the salt ice water expands and contracts the parts a lot more that you would think. A few thousands of an inch is a lot in machinery.
