Hi John, I have posted on Boatdiesel occasionally. Batteries are still in original location, I removed the pile of rust disguised as a generator and use that for a 55 gal. spare tank. I kept the 1 3/8" shafts, part of the reasoning in staying with gas, changing out running gear is a fair expense too. The new package had motor mounts which hit differently on the stringers which needed to be built up in the front since they've been cut down over the years. BTW I don't check this board much, if you'd like - send a mail if you have questions in a hurry. Also I think I saw you're around the Chesapeake, I'm in Little Creek in Norfolk if you're down this way I'd be glad to show you what you're going to deal with. Alan.
