new rudders

Got new rudders. Found some differences in the two rudders. They are different color metals like one has some oxidation or age to it. The top edge going towards the trailing edge has about a 1/4 inch difference in the curve of the cut. The trailing edge on one is perfectly straight while the other has the slightest curve to it. The top of the shaft also has grooves where the bearings should go. One rudder has a crack or casting mark running from just below the shaft about half way down the thickest part. Does this sound normal to you guys becuase I am not happy with them. Thanks in advance for the feedback. I have a pic but need to learn the posting process.
