I have BoatUSless. They did increase the preminum this year. They have the most unrestrictive terms, but you pay. No haul-out, no engine depreciation on motors if you use rebuilt parts, much larger coverage area. I just love these guys who say I save $150 dollars; but never read the fine print. On a new boat you can probably save a lot of money by not using Boat US; but back in 1994 they were the only company I could find who wanted to insure my old 1973 28 Bertram for any price. I will shop around this year to see what is out there now. Oh I had a claim with BoatUS on a prop strike. They cut a check in 2 days no questions asked. All I did was have the boat towed to a BoatUS authorized yard. They did the estiamte and BoatUS cut the check. Prop strikes often get looked at hard and claims turned down. Thet was not my experience with BoatUS
