Another option for the larger pieces,such as the 'fiddles' etc on any counter/flat surfaces' edges is to use small hardwood dowels instead of screws to fasten them in place - you could either through drill the trim pieces and use plugs to cover the dowels installation or drill in from the trim pieces underside,install the dowels [using a good waterproof glue] and use no plugs at all.
Might be an option also on other trim pieces depending on their thickness.
Clear silicone,or any other non permanent adhesive sealant,could be used to 'spot' tab the trim pieces in place in addition to the dowels.
