When I repowered last year, I did replace the shafts. I had to anyway, as the length required it, but I would have regardless, as I wanted to, and thought it was the right thing to do.

I would buy a used shaft as a back up or temporary, but that is about all.

Now, you need to clam up the pie hole with all the spend it before the kids get it crap, so my parents don't hear that. Noise like that gets people in trouble, and despite my affinity for you, and the knowledge that your advice rarely fails, you need to put a cork in it!

And yes, I hug my boat every time I even see her. Hell, I even play classical music for her so she gets smarter all the time, and might even grow...
