I haven't heard that concern yet. The B31 is at 15 degrees. With the 8 degree down angle transmission and setting the engine slightly forward and down in the front we are able to match right up with the existing shaft coupling with the addition of an 1 1/4" drive saver. We were really surprised at how easy these things will fit in. The 454's were 32 1/2" wide at the risers and the 8.1's are 33". They don't weight any more either. We'll see.
