My experience has been if you coat the dissimilar metals threads with Ultra Tef Gel you can forget the corrosion problem. Available under the links section of this site.

The original B31 pickup tube was made of rolled brass or bornze sheet with a vertical solder joint, and we have seen some split, causing a vacuum leak and fuel starvation if the tank is not totally full.
