Jon, I own my dockominium in Beverly. In Ma. there are NO real estate taxes on a docko. There will be maintenance fees. None of those are tax deductible. Depending on your finances & personal beliefs, you could take out a home equity loan. The interest on that would probably be tax deductible. I think most banks will be a little gun shy about loaning money on a patch of water.

If you are buying privately, do a search at the Registry of Deeds. Also, if you purchase, make sure you get recorded at the Registry.
