In Response To: Dumb question of the month (Lynn)

Lynn,

Each gauge has a small tubular socket on the back side that the bulb holder inserts into. If you're too big to crawl into the space below the dash, grab a neighborhood kid to make the trip.

If the gauge has a metal body, there will only be one wire to the bulb holder, if plastic, two wires. The bulb holder just inserts into the socket & is held by friction fit.

Teleflex gauges often have a bulb socket with a rectangular shaped grab bar that inserts and locks in with a quarter turn & has no exposed wires.

Best regards,

Patrick
