Great point -- when I first got my diesel (Volvo powered) B31, I had friends tell me to pour some kerosene into it as it would turn diesel into "premium" diesel. I didn't bite. I've seen others on this site say to pour Marvel Mystery oil in the with the fuel, I haven't done that either -- what are your thoughts on that?

The only thing I've consistently put into my fuel is Stanadyne's Performance Formula diesel additive. I've seen a significant decrease in the amount of smoke my Volvos make when started cold, and a slight increase in fuel economy. I figure since they are an injector/pump manufacturer, they must know what to do with the fuel. What do you think of that product?
