Ken,
Our Cummins motors are not new. Further, one of the Sherwood pumps is a factory rebuild; the other is original(old). We weren't concerned with the loss of an old, original impeller the first time, but when it failed again within 100 hours, we're thinking there is a root cause, either the pump wearing out the impellers or excessive restriction in the suction line with 1-1/2" plumbing. Still evaluating the problem.
The bottom line, given the trend with Sherwood 17000 series, we will always carry plenty of extra impeller kits, pullers, and tools on board just in case.
