Bob-Seatronics installed mine and bolted it flat onto the top of my radar arch with no shims that I know of. We went out on sea trial and he made adjustments on the unit itself so that the screen showed objects that were directly in front of us were exactly on the zero mark on the screen. If there were any internal angle adjustments, I'm not aware of them. I was there during the installation and it seemed pretty cut and dry. Having just removed a closed array Raytheon unit I was curious about how much of a difference there would be, and was shocked at how much sharper and clearer the open array was. Good luck with yours!
