correct radar mounting

tom,dug,walter,and anybody else out there who is using raymarine 4kw open array.i listen to your combine advise and purchase the open array instead off the dome.the radar will bell mounted on my radar arch is there any angle (off the water)i must ahere to when i mount this and is there any advantage to using a 1' stand off or should the pedestal be mounted directly to the center plate of the arch.
